4 Quarters Radio: May 6 3rd Quarter

The third-quarter curriculum for May 6:
--NFL draft pick Rod Issac checks in after being made a fifth-round selection of the Jacksonville Jaguars. He talks about missing a funeral to get the call, whether he'd join lawsuits to end the lockout, how he graduated early, and what he has against bald barbers, among other topics.
--Moving on to baseball, the Mets' problems come in for discussion, including the likelihood that Jose Reyes is going to get peddled. Scott looks at the potential destinations, finding a couple that would be particularly interesting.

4 Quarters Radio: April 15 2nd Quarter

The second-quarter curriculum for April 15:
--While the fellas wait for the call from MTSU football coach Rick Stockstill, they move into handicapping some of the NBA playoff series. Scott's despondent over the Pacers having to face the Bulls, and there's a surprising undercurrent of excitement for Philly against Miami.
--Once Coach Stock calls, Scott gets the questions right into spring practice. Stockstill discusses the quarterback competition and how the offense is improving in terms of ball security from last season's turnover-prone mess.
--Scott hounds the coach until he actually names a few guys who thrust themselves into discussion for starting spots. Also, Stock offers a possible successor for MTSU's ongoing line of dangerous pass rushers.
--New coordinators Willie Simmons and Steve Ellis get discussed in terms of their impact on their first spring in their positions.
--Finally, Scott asks the coach's opinion about his former receiver Garrett Andrews suing the NFL.
--The fellas skip the 10-minute warning and head straight into Whodaman. Bobby stays local, giving props to the MTSU baseball team for hanging tough against the top team in America. Mack shouts out to the MTSU lacrosse team (who knew?) while the others head to the pros. Andrew honors skill in cream-pie application and Logan gives love to a pitcher who can rip, while Scott gives respect to a coach who improved his team after losing a big name.

4 Quarters Radio: March 25 2nd Quarter

The second-quarter curriculum for March 25:
--Scott plays some audio from an interview he conducted with MTSU softball coach Sue Nevar. Subjects include the sudden improvement of pitcher Caty Jutson, the team's penchant for getting hit by pitches, and the "18-year-old mentality" that some of her 18-year-olds need to break out of.
--MTSU football's Pro Day measurements compared favorably to anyone that got invited to the Combine, and game recognizes game.
--In Whodaman, Bobby gives love to a UFC champion taking a bite out of crime. Logan and Mack apparently have paid attention to nothing sporting in the past week, Andrew gives love to an Arizona hoop legend, and Scott gives it up to an Arizona State wrestling star who won a national championship while missing something important. Bobby pooh-poohs the accomplishment, though.

4 Quarters Radio: January 28 4th Quarter

The fourth-quarter curriculum for January 28:
--Scott mentions some potential QB prospects coming to campus over the weekend, and also some addled people who had, shall we say, overly optimistic projections about MTSU's new coordinators.
--Scott also has some advice for aspiring ballers that can help them avoid the whole "banned supplement" problem.
--Jerry West's comments regarding the Lakers' age get an actual analysis, and they may be both right and wrong at the same time. Jack Nicholson guest stars, kinda.
--In the Epic Fails, the guys lament the epic failure of their Internet connection. Bobby goes Hawaii-to-Chicago for a pair of NFL fails. Logan laments the silence of the Jets. Scott calls out a player who quit in mid-game, and a team who quit playing offense and never started until the next game.

--MTSU football coach Rick Stockstill joins the crew after a recruiting visit, and patiently answers questions about the concluded season, his search for new coordinators, and whether he'd tolerate a player going off Cromartie-style.

--MTSU basketball gets examined, as the team survives one brutal, WWE-style game, then curls up and disappears against Florida Atlantic. The team's use of depth is pondered as a potential problem.

--Scott confesses something that's gotten him into a bit of hot water with the MTSU message-board denizens.

--Mike Leach's friends in high places may help him get a job.
--A noteworthy coach is on record as supporting a playoff...kinda.
--Scott has a moment of empathy for an embattled kicker. Maybe he's mellowing in his old age?
--An annual college hoop fixture is applauded as something college football needs to adopt.

--A look ahead to the season finale v. FIU reveals a surprising amount of Golden Panther talent for MTSU to deal with.
--The story of TCU moving to the Big East gets put under the microscope, and truly, it's an easier time for the Horned Frogs there than in the Mountain West. Scott examines why.
--The NCAA sets a dangerous precedent by letting Cam Newton skate in the face of proven misconduct by his dad. The Prof wonders how much cash fathers will be demanding for their five-star sons in the near future.

4 Quarters Radio: November 11 1st Quarter

The first-quarter curriculum for November 11:
--Scott and Logan speak with North Texas beat writer Brett Vito of the Denton Record-Chronicle (Denton, Tex.) regarding the MTSU-North Texas football game.
--Brett tells the guys about the status of UNT's new coach, and how the son of the old coach is operating since his dad's firing.
--Logan's unshakeable optimism leads him to seriously ask if North Texas would overlook MTSU.
--For all MT's injury problems, UNT has them trumped, and Brett runs down the litany of aches and pains.
--Moving into basketball, Scott asks Brett to put UNT under the magnifying glass and spell out some factors that might slow the Mean Green's roll to another NCAA Tournament.
--North Texas's upcoming recruiting class gets a look, and from the sound of things, the rest of the Sun Belt should be afraid. Very afraid.
--In scoreline predictions, no one has any faith in their own teams, as Brett picks MT, and Scott and Logan pick UNT. One of the three picks an absolute blowout, no points for guessing who.

4 Quarters Radio: November 4 1st Quarter

The first-quarter curriculum for November 4:
--Scott gives Logan the floor to comment on the Randy Moss waiver claim and how the Titans will look going forward. Logan immediately takes back every nasty thing he's ever said.
--For his part, the Professor's not exactly sold on Randy and what he'll do for the Titan offense. The immediate question of "Can Fisher control Randy?" is pondered.
--The MTSU football team's debacle against Arkansas State gets a once-over, and it's just as ugly a couple of days later. Scott does, however, express some great appreciation for ASU's beautiful Wildcat work.
--The guys move on to MTSU soccer, and once they figure out exactly where the team's playing, they give respect for an opening win in the Sun Belt Tournament.

The second-quarter curriculum for October 28:
--Finally, some good news for MTSU football fans, as the guys analyze the Homecoming win over Louisiana-Monroe.
--A look ahead to Arkansas State, and Scott questions whether exotic blitz packages will rattle Ryan Aplin and whether the running game will gain ground against the Wolves' strong D-line.
--The BCS's stated purpose is trotted out and contrasted with coaches like Oklahoma's Bob Stoops punting with poll voters in mind rather than trying to win.
--Scott puts Logan on the spot and demands to know the games where Auburn and Oregon will get tripped up on their road to the national title game.
--Logan once again gives love to someone who helped his fantasy team in Whodaman, while also indulging his slightly disturbing obsession with a MTSU volleyball player. Scott gives props to another NBA scrub for scoring a phenomenally hot celebrity fiancee, and also pays tribute to sport's greatest prognosticator.

4 Quarters Radio: October 14 1st Quarter

The first-quarter curriculum for October 14:

--Scott and Logan move on to another game that no one though would end the way it did: South Carolina springing one on Bama.
--The other one that Scott was flipping over to during Bama's loss, Michigan/Michigan State, gets examined, including its effect on Denard Robinson's flagging Heisman hopes.
--Taking Robinson's place are a couple of other speed-demon QB's, and one in particular gets about 250 pounds' worth of love. (That sounded wrong.)
--Scott and Logan also offer their respective Top 5's at that particular moment in time. Subject to change, of course.

Other coaches' work habits come up for scrutiny, as well.
--Notes are also shared about MTSU volleyball and soccer, with upcoming road trips. Former MTSU star Alysha Clark also says "L'chaim" to a professional career overseas.
--In a difficulty-plagued Whodaman, Logan stays close to home. Scott, for his part, salutes the Black Tebow, a historic walk-off home run, and baseball's newest Energizer bunny, Johnny Damon.

--Troy receiver Jerrel Jernigan gets a little respect for placing himself toward the very top of the Sun Belt receiving ledgers.
--The possibility of Mark Ingram rallying back into Heisman discussion is broached. Logan's iffy, Scott not so much.
--The guys segue from there into predictions of the Florida/Alabama game. There, Logan promises he's not advocating a plane crash or arson, but it sure sounds that way.
--Finally, is it worth A.J. Green's while to come back to Georgia?

--The MTSU game against Memphis...well, the less said about that, the better. The O-line's M*A*S*H unit gets a quick status update, complete with the obligatory Klinger reference.
