4 Quarters Radio April 4

The first-quarter curriculum for April 4:
--The fellas talk about Kentucky winning the NCAA tournament, with Brandon still not terribly grateful even with a Wildcat victory winning him an evening of free food and drink. The fellas weigh their issues with John Calipari against the likability of his one-and-done crew. Scott also looks fearfully ahead to the days when Calipari can flash a ring in recruiting. Los Guys also stop and marvel at the evolutionary mutations that caused the Lexington riots.

1st Intermission: "Soul Killing" by The Ting Tings.

The second-quarter curriculum:
--In a 4Q first, most of a segment is devoted to talking professional wrestling. Brandon and special guest Clint Halford cover their impressions of WrestleMania 28. Brock Lesnar's return to Raw the following night gets some discussion as well.
--In Whodaman, Jeremy names a Wildcat who needs to return to school, Brandon big-ups baseball's most valuable agent, and Scott gives love to a guy whose face got totally pucked up (and no, that's not a typo).

Halftime Show: "Let Them Talk" by Spoek Mathambo.

The third-quarter curriculum:
--The fellas play around with ESPN's NBA Playoff Predictor, deciding whether some of the probabilities are way off or very right. Even Laker fan Jeremy can't disagree with some dire chances for LA.
--Scott weighs in on the new Basketball Hall of Fame inductees, some more deserving than others.
--The Knicks' honesty regarding injury reports and the Bulls' wisdom in not extending their coach catch brief mention.

3rd Intermission: "Overbiter" by Say Anything.

The fourth-quarter curriculum:
--MLB talk starts off the fourth, as Joey Votto and Matt Cain get enormous contracts. Scott poses the question of whether Votto's deal is a better idea than those given to Prince and Pujols.
--Hockey Correspondent Miranda Martin hops on a mic to talk some puck, naming off her expected Stanley Cup contenders.
--Mike Milbury's rant on Sidney Crosby gets aired, and Miranda's unsurprisingly in agreement. She does squirm out of an Odds Makers moment regarding the Predators' chances at the Cup finals...and ended up losing on a statement of doubt for the Capitals.
--In the Epic Fails, Jeremy has a couple of guys suffering embarrassing plays on the court, Brandon has a guy stealing a taco, and Scott finds another excuse to sing.

Postgame Show: "You're the Right Kind of Girl" by Lee Fields.

4 Quarters Radio: January 25

The first-quarter curriculum for January 25:
--Scott talks some hockey with 4QR's official Puck Authority, Jimi Russell. The Predators' hot streak and upcoming dilemma with the Ryan Suter and Shea Weber contracts are surely the lead discussion. Also covered: Brendan Shanahan's performance as NHL discipline czar, some trade deadline speculation, and whether Tim Thomas should have sucked it up and gone to the White House.

1st Intermission: "Let's Burn Down the Cornfield" by Etta James.

The second-quarter curriculum:
--Scott lays out his take on the life and times of Joe Paterno, reminding anyone listening that they need to take a life in totality rather than ignore everything else in favor of the final three months.
--In Whodaman, Scott gives love to an American in England and two NFL players rubbing a TV goof's face in his stupidity.

Halftime Show: "If You Want To" by Lalah Hathaway.

The third-quarter curriculum:
--The NFL conference championship games are the Q3 focus, and Scott starts off with yet another reminder of why mouth-breathing sociopaths make Twitter such an unpredictable place. Beyond that, the heroes and goats of Championship Sunday get their moment of discussion, including a few that you might not have noticed.
--In other stories, the Colts' new head coach and the future NFL prospects of college coaches with spread offenses are discussed before the break.

3rd Intermission: "Underground" by Jane's Addiction.

The fourth-quarter curriculum:
--Scott shares the projections for Prince Fielder's future production as a member of the Detroit Tigers and whether or not he'll end up being worth the $214M that Mike Illich is shelling out.
--The various NCAA bracket projections are examined, and Scott handicaps the matchups that could be awaiting MTSU's sizzling basketball team.
--Speaking of Blue Raider hoops, the weekend meeting with Vanderbilt also gets previewed.
--In the Epic Fails, Scott singles out yet another yobbo who can't figure out what should and shouldn't go on Twitter, lest one's career risk a trip down the crapper.

Postgame Show: "Limousine" by Class Actress.

4 Quarters Radio: May 6 2nd Quarter

The second-quarter curriculum for May 6:
--A Twitter conversation sparks an on-air topic (granted, one that was going to be covered anyway, but still). Rashard Mendenhall's Twitter lunacy gets pondered, and Scott fully expects that contract language for NFL players will get altered soon. Mendenhall's remarks are put into perspective when compared to a teammate's more-disturbing indiscretions.
--Scott examines the Stanley Cup Playoffs by himself, struggling with the idea of Vancouver being accused of faking penalties. Also, he examines the Washington Capitals and agrees with the idea that it's time for that franchise to make some tough decisions.
--In Whodaman, Scott gives props to his favorite team's ace pitcher for living up to the title for a night and also tips the hat to the best hockey team name he's ever heard.

4 Quarters Radio: April 29 2nd Quarter

The second-quarter curriculum for April 29:
--Hockey Correspondent Jimi Russell returns to discuss some second-round action in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, starting with the Predators not putting up much fight against the Canucks in Game 1.
--Scott invites Jimi to take a look back at Round 1 and name some highlights.
--Some handicapping of Round 2 calls for lots of goals in a series that turned out not to go that long and a surprising lack of scoring in a series out west.
--Jimi offers his pick for the Hart Trophy winner, expecting one of the finalists to keep it in the family.
--In Whodaman, Blaize mans up in his Whodaman debut and picks a guy who killed one of his teams for a night. Mack gives shouts to a team that died hard, and Scott gives props to God's Gift. Literally.

4 Quarters Radio: April 22 2nd Quarter

The second-quarter curriculum for April 22:
--Before Logan goes off to chase extra credit points, he gets to share his thoughts on Scott and Blaize both agreeing on the Titans picking Nick Fairley.
--4Q Hockey Correspondent Jimi Russell checks in for the second straight week to talk Stanley Cup Playoffs.
--Scott ponders why the Preds-Ducks series is the only one with suspensions and why goaltenders are getting biblically pimp-smacked.
--Jimi also admits that he'd be perfectly okay with one of his Stanley Cup finalists being poleaxed in the first round.
--Mack laments the collapse of his Rangers, and Scott asks Jimi to forecast some "upsets."
--In Whodaman, Mack applauds disruptive fans, but only as long as Mark Cuban gets clocked in the process. Jimi shouts out to an entire city, with particular love to two magnificent bastards who play there. Scott goes to high school baseball and college softball for his honors.

4 Quarters Radio: April 15 4th Quarter

The fourth-quarter curriculum for April 15:
--4Q's hockey correspondent Jimi Russell checks in to discuss some Stanley Cup Playoffs. Jimi goes in a surprising direction when asked what Game 1 was the best for him.
--Mack wants Jimi's thoughts on the Rangers-Capitals series, and Scott has to offer a boo.
--Scott springs one on Jimi, asking him what his day with the Stanley Cup would entail if he had been able to make it to the League.
--Jimi stays with one of his previous Finals picks, but is a bit shaky on the other one.
--Jimi offers an Epic Fail before hitting the road, throwing Kobe under the bus for gay-bashing a ref. Bobby finally disowns his favorite team's would-be savior and Mack reminds a Celtic to keep his eye on the ball. Logan ponders the wisdom of running from the cops, Drew wonders when Ozzie Guillen went off his medication, and Scott notes some ill-chosen words from a pitcher's wife. Logan also offers some words of wisdom for wives everywhere.

4 Quarters Radio: February 11 2nd Quarter

The second-quarter curriculum for February 11:
--The herd thins out a bit as 4Q gets joined by its brand-new Hockey Correspondent, Jimi Russell.
--Jimi gets a chance to offer love to his Packers before getting into the frozen-pond action.
--Scott and Jimi check in on how Mr. Carrie Underwood (aka Mike Fisher) will fit in as a Nashville Predator, and also why Ottawa needs to grow some perspective.
--Other potential Nashville trade targets get scrutinized, and the likelihood of nearly all of them seems pretty low.
--Chances of one goalie, Pekka Rinne, winning the Vezina Trophy are weighed, as are the chances of another one winning the Hart Trophy as league MVP.
--Scott puts Jimi on the spot and demands a Stanley Cup Finals prediction, and the Correspondent goes out on a rather sturdy limb.
--In Whodaman, a couple of votes come up for a new all-time record, Bobby marvels at the power of Anderson Silva's ring toe, and Scott wonders if donating organs constitutes a recruiting violation.
